Captain Jeremy Blunt is a seasoned offshore fishing captain and yacht sales professional based in Ocean City, Maryland. As the owner and operator of Wrecker Sportfishing, he leads offshore charters targeting species such as tuna, marlin, mahi, and wahoo.
In 2002, Jeremy obtained his U.S. Coast Guard 6-pack captain’s license and has since captained several charter boats. In 2007, he expanded his career into yacht brokerage and joined Bluewater Yacht Sales in 2014, where he leverages his on-the-water experience to assist clients in finding their ideal vessels.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Captain Blunt is an active member of the Ocean City Marlin Club and was the first to catch a white marlin in their annual tournament. He also contributes to the Delmarva Fisheries Association, advocating for the regional fishing community and sustainable fisheries management .

Cody Smith is a seasoned mate aboard the Wrecker, a 57-foot Carolina-style sportfishing vessel based in Ocean City, Maryland. Under the leadership of Captain Bobby Layton, Cody has played a pivotal role in the boat’s offshore fishing operations.
In October 2023, Cody’s expertise contributed to a significant achievement when angler Stephen Humphrey caught a 13-pound great barracuda off the coast of Ocean City. This catch set a new Maryland state record for the species and was officially certified by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Cody’s involvement in this record-setting event underscores his proficiency and dedication to the sport.
Earlier in the same season, Cody, alongside Captain Layton and fellow mate Austin Bowden, celebrated notable successes, including the first white marlin and the largest tuna caught by the Wrecker that year. In July 2024, Cody Smith and the Wrecker team achieved a major milestone by winning the Ocean City Tuna Tournament. They secured first place with a 191.5-pound tuna—the heaviest fish of the tournament—and earned a payout of $198,475. This victory marked a significant achievement in Cody’s career and underscored his expertise in offshore fishing.
